The last few years have been a phenomenal period of progress in the fields of environmental protection and wildlife management in the UAE. The government’s commitment, coupled with local corporate support and greatly enhanced awareness of the general public have borne considerable fruit. The evidence for this progress is to be seen almost every where one looks in the Emirates, from the widespread improvements in environmental controls to the impressive wildlife breeding, conservation and public display projects.
