We arrived at the hotel after a long delay at passport control and a quick taxi ride (costing about AED40) from the airport. Quick and easy check in at 4am. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The hotel is about 2 minutes walk to the Metro which is very clean and efficient. (Note that if you are buying tickets to the Metro I would buy them from the ticket office as the machine spat out 10 blank tickets and did not give change).
As it was Ramadan and even tourists are discouraged from eating or drinking in public they have a restaurant where you can eat lunch. The lunch servings are very large- none of us were able to finish our meals- and quite good. The room service attendant made lovely designs with the towels, and the hotel provided an adaptor for the British type wall plug.
Basic WiFi is free but if you want to do Skype you will need to pay for an upgrade to a premium service.
Only downsides were that the pool was empty (having maintenance) and the windows needed cleaning.
I would stay there again as it is a good location and very spacious. There were three toilets and two showers in our two bedroom apartment.
